Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Jonas Blixt and Shane Lowry won the PGA
Tour and European Tour events this weekend and those wins helped both men soar
in this week's world rankings.
Blixt rocketed up 40 places to No. 75 with his victory at the Frys.com Open.
Lowry jumped 54 spots to 74th as he won the Portugal Masters by a stroke.
The top 12 in the rankings remained the same with No. 1 Rory McIlroy followed
again by Tiger Woods, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, Justin Rose, Adam Scott,
Bubba Watson, Webb Simpson, Brandt Snedeker, Jason Dufner, Steve Stricker and
Louis Oosthuizen.
Matt Kuchar climbed two spots to 13th and that bumped Dustin Johnson and
Keegan Bradley down to Nos. 14 and 15, respectively.
Zach Johnson and Phil Mickelson exchanged spots with the 2007 Masters champion
up to 16 and Mickelson down one to 17. Graeme McDowell, Sergio Garcia and
Hunter Mahan rounded out the top 20 again this week.
