WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The Washington Nationals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers to clinch a MLB playoff berth on Thursday night. In honor of that win, and the first time in 79 years that a D.C. team has made the postseason, the John A. Wilson building will "turn red."
DC Mayor Vincent Gray made the announcement on Friday afternoon. He says that starting Friday night, technicians will light the building the color red to honor the Nationals. The building will feature red lights each night of the team's playoff run, according to the mayor.
