Restaurants like Dukem have gained U Street an honor among America's Best Neighborhoods for Ethnic Food.
Travel and Leisure dot com says the area is good for expats as well as people new to trying Ethiopian cuisine.
Also making the list of the top neighborhoods are Thai Town in Los Angeles, Houston's Mahatma Gandhi District for Indian Food and Little Beirut in Dearborn, Michigan for a wide variety of food from the Middle East.
