OCEAN CITY, Md. (WUSA) - A woman apparently fell to her death from a third story balcony early Tuesday morning, according to Ocean City Police.

Officers responded to a 911 call for help for a person who had fallen from a third story balcony at 3602 North Canal St. at about 3 a.m.

Police found the body of an adult woman on the ground of the west side, or bay side, of the building. The victim's name has not been released pending notification of relatives.

Police are investigating the incident. The body will be autopsied at he office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Maryland in Baltimore.
