MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- Manassas police officials say a man reportedly broke into a home and stole purses, then left them at a Giant.
According to police, an officer was called to the Giant Foods at 8819 Centreville Rd. to investigate a gym bag left at the store. The gym bag contained fourteen purses. The officer later determined the purses had been stolen from a Manassas home.
A former roommate reported to police that 26-year-old Michael Ezzo of Hyattsville, Md. broke into her home and stole the purses on September 5.
Police say that Ezzo was arrested for unrelated charges in Prince William County and they are going to serve him with a warrant for burglary with intent to commit larceny.
