ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) -- A U.S. Park Police spokesperson confirms a taxi driver was tased near Arlington National Cemetery on Friday morning.
The driver had parked his cab on Memorial Drive near the cemetery while waiting for fare at approximately 11 a.m. A Park Police officer reportedly asked approached the driver and asked him for his license.
According to the spokesperson, the driver refused to show his license and "became disorderly." The driver then got out of his taxi. Then, some exchange happened and at some point, the officer used his Taser to subdue the driver.
Emergency crews came to evaluated the driver as part of protocol.
The driver, whose name was not released, was arrested but the charges against him are unknown.
