D.C. police say 29-year-old man, Thomas Maslin, was severely beaten in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
Police say Maslin was found unconscious on the front porch of a house near Eastern Market Saturday morning.
Homicide detectives are investigating, which is routine in serious assaults.
Maslin is in a coma due to his injuries.
