FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA) - Police have arrested a teenager for assaulting a teacher who told him to stop using foul language in the classroom.

Dale E. Weeks, 18, of Frederick, was charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and disrupting school activities.

On Wednesday at approximately 1:40 p.m., Frederick County deputies responded to Tuscarora High School for a report of an assault. They discovered that Weeks, a student at the school, assaulted one of his teachers.

The teacher reprimanded Weeks for using foul language and asked him to leave the classroom. When Weeks was being escorted to the office, he shoved and punched the teacher who fell to the ground during the assault.

Weeks was arrested a short time later in a field across the street from the school. He was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center's Central Booking Unit. The teacher received assistance in the school health room.
