WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- DC Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Southeast that has left one man dead.

Police tell 9 NEWS NOW officers were called to the 1200 block of Trenton Place around 11:45 Friday night for a report of a shooting. Officers arriving on scene found a man suffering from a gun shot wound to the head. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Right now police have no information to release on possible suspects or motive for the shooting.
