MILFORD MILL, Md. (WUSA) -- A Baltimore woman who claimed to be a winner in the Mega Millions lottery drawing in Maryland was a no-show at the lottery offices on Monday. Her boss at a McDonald's cautioned that the whole story is unconfirmed.
The day's buzz started with a report in the New York Post about a woman who claimed she was the one that bought the winning MegaMillions lottery ticket from the 7-Eleven in Milford Mill outside Baltimore. But Maryland's Lottery Agency is saying they don't believe anything until the winner shows up with the ticket in hand.
