PHOENIX (AP) - A US Airways plane bound for Washington, D.C. was forced to make an emergency return to Phoenix because of a hydraulic issue.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the Airbus 320 landed without incident at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at 3:15 p.m. Monday.
Authorities say it's unclear what caused the hydraulic issue.
US Airways officials didn't immediately return calls seeking comment on the emergency return.
It also was unclear when the problem was discovered on Flight 42 to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and how many people were aboard the plane.
