FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA) -- Two Front Royal women were arrested in connection with an embezzlement case at a Fairfax car dealership.
City of Fairfax Police arrested Jennifer Kay Garnett and Mattie Beatrice O'Bannion Monday and charged them with one count each of embezzlement. They were released on $2,500 bonds.
Police say the case began April 8 at Brown's Fairfax Mazda, 10570 Fairfax Boulevard. They say an investigation revealed that an employee who had permission to make authorized transactions, had discovered that checks had been removed, signed and cashed without permission.
The embezzlement was reported to police on July 13, according to police.
