SILVER SPRING, Md. (WUSA) -- An early morning bike ride has ended with a trip to the hospital, thanks to a hit-and-run driver in Silver Spring.

 

Officials tell 9NEWS NOW a cyclist was hit by a vehicle on Colesville Road at Lorain Drive around 5:15 Friday morning. Police say the victim was alert and breathing when they were transported to a local hospital for a check-up.

Right now police have little information to release on the striking vehicle.
