WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- DC School Chancellor Michelle Rhee hasn't ruled out staying on in a Gray administration. That word from her future husband, Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson.
The former NBA star turned politician was speaking at his own press conference today. He compared his fiance to a basketball super star in great demand. "Everybody wants her in her or his organization." said Johnson.
Rhee, a star among education reformers, had no comment following her one and a half hour meeting in DC Councilman Vincent Gray's office today.
Gray said no decisions were talked about and no decisions were made. They discussed the schools, his education paper, that was introduced during the Democratic primary in which he defeated Rhee's boss, Mayor Adrian Fenty.
In California, Mayor Johnson says Gray and Rhee have agreed to meet again in a couple of weeks to talk about whether they could work together, if there is a fit.
Johnson also knocked down rumors in Washington that he and Rhee had already gotten married. He says not yet.
