Teen breaks into Sterling home, assaults girl

STERLING, VA. (WUSA9) - A 15-year-old from Herndon is being charged in connection with breaking into a Sterling home and then assaulting a juvenile female Friday night, Loudoun County officials said. 

Officials took the teen into custody Tuesday night. He broke into the home located in the 1300 block of E. Lee Road around 9 p.m. Friday. 

He reportedly opened the kitchen window and leaned in halfway through the window, officials stated. He then moved further through the window and inappropriately touched the girl. Officials also said that he allegedly threw items at the girl before leaving. The victim was not hurt. 

The teenager is being charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor sexual assault, and misdemeanor simple assault. His name is not being released due to his age. He is being hel at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
