Police: Suspicious man asks girl to get into car

STERLING, VA (WUSA9) - A female student who was walking to Lowes Island Elementary School when she was allegedly approached by a man in a black SUV, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

This happened around 7:30 a.m. on Friday.

The girl told authorities that the man stayed in the vehicle and asked her to get in the car. When she didn’t, she said the man got angry but he did not get out of the car. The girl ran to a nearby adult who was walking her dog in the area.

The driver can be described as a possible Middle-Eastern male with short or balding dark hair and a beard, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

The black SUV was possibly a Chevrolet Suburban or Yukon XL with silver rims and Virginia tags. Authorities are not aware of any similar incidents.

Additional patrols have been directed to that area Friday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office said.
