Driver faces charges in crash that knocked out power

STERLING, Va. (WUSA9) -- A driver faces charges of reckless driving after his or her car struck a utility pole and caused a power outage in Sterling.

The crash happened at 10:44 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Environs Road, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office authorities.

They say the vehicle was traveling on Environs Road, lost control and struck a utility pole.

Early Tuesday morning, the road was still closed for repairs.
