Suspect sought in Silver Spring bank robbery

SILVER SPRING, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County Police Department is looking for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery that happened on Monday at a Capital One Bank branch in Silver Spring, Md.

Police said the robbery happened around 12:35 p.m. at a Capital One Bank branch in the Silver Spring area. According to the investigation, the suspect went into the bank, went up to the teller, and passed a note demanding money.

The note stated that the suspect had a weapon, but a weapon was never seen, police said. The suspect got an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

Police are asking for the public's help.
