Inside the Silver Fountain restaurant, two lions jived to the beat of the drums performed by the Chinese Youth Club.
The lion dance is a Chinese New Year tradition to bring on good luck. The lions greeted diners who "fed" them "red pockets" or lucky envelopes stuffed with money. The loud drum beats are to ward off evil spirits, according to Wallace Lee, the Chinese Youth Club director.
