Fire damages National Children's Center school

SILVER SPRING, Md. (WUSA9/AP) -- Montgomery County fire officials are investigating a fire at a school for people with developmental disabilities in Silver Spring.

University Boulevard West was blocked near Dennis Avenue Wednesday morning after the fire at the National Children's Center. The school shares a building with a Masonic lodge.

Fire officials say the fire caused major damage to the second floor.

No injuries have been reported.
