3 displaced by Silver Spring house fire

SILVER SPRING, MD. (WUSA9) - Three people have been displaced after a fire broke out at a Silver Spring house Sunday evening. 

More than 50 firefighters responded to the house located at 1718 Republic Rd. Nobody was at home at the time of the fire. 

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said the cause of the fire appeared to be an accidental, electrical fire that started in the basement bedroom. 

Damage costs have been estimated at $125,000.
