Shots fired into Va. house

LEESBURG, Va. (WUSA9) -- Leesburg police are investigating after shots were fired into a residence along the 100 block of Burnell Place Friday night.

The homeowner told police that an unknown person had driven by the house and fired several shots, according to officials.

Police said they found evidence that shots were fired into the house, including bullet casings in the front and damage to the home where several bullets had stuck.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Deputies are still investigating the incident but believe there is no threat to the community.
