Several heat-related injuries reported in Md. area

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Several heat-related injuries have been reported in the Maryland area Tuesday afternoon, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said.

Crews responded to a sick person on the Billy Goat Trail near Great Falls. Officials said rescuers got to the patient who was suffering from heat exhaustion. The person was transferred to boat and evacuated via river to EMS. 

Other heat-related injuries were reported in the 500 block of South Frederick Ave. at the Water Park at Bohrer Park, officials said.
