Teen dies after mini-bike crash in Reston

RESTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- A teenager has died after his mini-bike was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Reston Parkway on May 8.

Seventeen-year-old Sean Logan was riding his "Pit Bike" on northbound Reston Parkway when he attempted to turn left onto westbound Wiehle Avenue.

The driver of a 2004 Acura MDX and the driver of a 2008 Lexus GX470 were both traveling south on Reston Parkway. Logan crossed into the path of the two oncoming vehicles and was hit by the Acura, which then hit the Lexus.

Sean Logan was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died from his injuries on May 12.

Police say the Acura and the Lexus had the right of way and they do not anticipate any charges.
