Rescue crews respond to NE. trash fire

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- DC Fire and EMS responded to a trash fire Sunday afternoon close to the Fort Totten transfer station.

Authorities said, rescue teams were able to get the fire under control after an hour and a half. The team responded to the fire around 1 p.m.

Rescue teams are checking under the debris to make sure nothing else is burning.

According to authorities, there nobody has been injured.
