Woman killed in Woodbridge shooting ID'd

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- One person was killed and another was critically injured after an armed robbery in Prince William County on Friday night, police said.

It happened at around 8:59 p.m. on the 14000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge, police said.

When police arrived at the store, they found two victims of a shooting, they said.

"One of the victims died at the scene. The second victim was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. Witnesses reported three males entering the store followed by gunshots. The suspects fled prior to police arriving at the business. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects," police said.

Police have identified victim who was killed as 21-year-old Glenda Marisol Coca-Romero of Woodbridge.

The other victim has been identified as a 42- year- old woman of Woodbridge, police said.

The three suspects fled the business after the shooting, possibly on foot, police added. There was another employee and one customer who were also in the store at the time of the shooting and were not hurt, police said.

According to authorities, nothing was stolen during the incident. Detectives are investigating this incident as a murder.

At this time authorities only know the suspects are men and were all wearing dark clothing with their faces covered.
