WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- A Virginia high school basketball coach has been arrested for assaulting a student on school property, according to Prince William County police.

Donald Gallitz, a teacher and girls basketball coach at Forest Park High School, has been charged with three counts of assault and battery.

Investigation revealed that Gallitz assaulted a 17-year-old male student on more than one occasion on between November 2013 and January 2014, according to police. At the time of the incident, Gallitz was the victim's teacher.

The investigation was conducted jointly with Child Protective Services and Prince William County Schools.

The Washington Post reports that Gallitz was accused of assault by one of his players while he was the girls basketball coach at Gar-Field High School in 2012. Gallitz was not prosecuted for that offense, according to the Post.
