Police: Va. Man wanted for attacking, choking woman

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- A Woodbridge man is wanted for attacking and then choking a woman, Prince William County Police said in a news release.

Charles Martize Davis, 23, is wanted for a domestic assault incident that happened at the 14100 block of Madrigal Drive, police said.

"The victim, a 24 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused cornered the victim in a bathroom where he then assaulted her. At one point, the accused put his hands around the victim's neck and began to choke her," police said.

She escaped his clutches and tried to call police. That's when Davis grabbed her phone from her and ran away with it, police said.

Davis is described as a black male, 5'7", 165lbs with a thin build, dark complexion, short black hair, brown eyes, a beard and tattoos on his back and both arms, police said.

He's wanted for strangulation, abduction, robbery, and domestic assault & battery, police said.
