FOUND: 8-year-old, 5-year-old Woodbridge sisters

UPDATE: Police said these missing children have been found safe and unharmed.


WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Police in Prince William County are seeking the public's help in locating 8- and 5-year-old sisters who went missing from their home in Woodbridge.

Jhosyn Alvarado, 5, and Fatima Alvarado, 8, left their home located in the 12700 block of Cara Drive sometime during the overnight hours, police said.

Jhosyn is described as being 3'1", 50 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt with flowers and blue jeans, and may also be carrying a pink princess backpack.

Fatima is described as being 4'5", 70 pounds with black hair (in a ponytail) and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt with flowers and blue shorts, and may also be carrying a purple "Bratz" backpack.

There is no sign of forced entry into the home and at this point there is no evidence that would lead them to be believe the kids were abducted, police said. It is believed the girls left on their own.
