Bond set for UMD lacrosse player accused of sex assault

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Bond has been set at $10,000 for a University of Maryland lacrosse player accused of sexually assaulting a woman after she fell asleep at a concert at Jiffy Lube Live.

Nineteen-year-old Benjamin Chisolm faces a sexual battery charge after a 49-year-old woman told police that he touched her while she was sleeping during the Zac Brown Band concert.

The University of Maryland released the following statement regarding the incident:

"We are aware of the reported incident regarding one of our student-athletes. The University takes these matters very seriously and will cooperate with authorities during their investigation."

Chisolm is due in court July 17.
