2 arrested in pepper spray vs. pellet gun fight

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County police say two people were arrested after a fight involving pepper spray and a pellet gun.

On April 21, police were called to the 4800 block of Kempair Drive to investigate a fight with weapons.

Investigation revealed that 30-year-old Jeffrey Gelabert and 20-year-old Ciera Berry were involved in a verbal altercation which turned physical, according to police.

Police say that Gelabert pepper sprayed Berry and two other victims, a 26-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman. Berry then took out a pellet gun, which police say she portrayed as a handgun. We're told a physical struggle ensued and the pellet gun was taken away from Berry, who then contacted police.

Police say Berry initially fled but then returned to the scene. She was arrested and charged with brandishing a firearm. Gelabert was arrested and charged with two counts of malicious assault by caustic substance.
