Police investigate robbery at Boost Mobile store

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Officials are looking for a suspect in connection to a robbery which happened at a Boost Mobile store in Maryland.

The robbery happened on May 30 around 4:15 p.m. at the business located at 322 Hospital Drive. The suspect went into the store and demanded money. The clerk refused at first, at which point the suspect lifted his shirt and said he was armed with a weapon, police said.

No firearm was displayed during the robbery, police said.

The store employee then opened the cash register and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. He left towards an easterly direction along Hospital Drive, police said.

Officials describe him as a Black male, mid to late 20's in age; approximately 6'0" in height. He has very short hair and last seen wearing a blue sweater/hoodie with an American Eagle Logo and the numbers 19 visible, also wearing grey pants and sunglasses, police said.
