Police investigate multiple incidents of vandalism in Md.

ROCKVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Officials are looking for a suspect in connection to multiple incidents of vandalism to businesses and cars in Maryland.

The vandalism started in mid-March and continued through early May. The incidents happened in the area of 11700 block of Parklawn Drive in Rockville. One of the businesses affected is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. There have been a total of seven reported incidents in which "rocks were thrown through glass doors and windows of the businesses", police said.

The total cost to the businesses due to the vandalism incidents is over $5,000, police said.

Police have released photos of the suspect(s) who can be seen spray painting a business in the area on April 13. Officials say there may be more suspects.
