Police investigate fatal District Heights motorcycle crash

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that left a 59-year-old man dead on September 3. 

The victim was identified as 59-year-old Phillip Brooks of Brandywine. Brooks died from his injuries Sunday night, Prince George's County police said. 

Crews responded to the crash on September 3 at 3:30 p.m. in the 7200 block of Beltz Drive in District Heights. 

The investigation shows that Brooks was on a motorcycle and going eastbound on Beltz Drive when he was hit by a truck parked on the side of the road. 

Police said there was no driver inside of the truck.
