Police: 4 arrested for Heroin possession at hotel

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WUSA) -- Four suspects have been arrested and charged for possession of Heroin and Marijuana, among other charges, officials said.

Brandon Anthony Johnson, 21, Gerald Delaney Hyman, 23, Shaun Aris Crowdy, 21 and Charles Albert Wells 4th, 17 have been charged with 'Wear/possession of a handgun, Possess handgun with drug trafficking, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Marijuana and Theft of the handgun,' officials said.

Officials witnessed a hand-to-hand Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) transaction on Feb 14. around 9:38 p.m. at the Extended Stay hotel located on 1 Womack Drive. When officers knocked on one of the hotel room 329, two people jumped out of the third story window. Two more people jumped out of the window from room 331. Police found three of the four suspects in a car located on Bens Drive. The fourth suspect was found shortly after, while he was walking on Route-2, police said.

Police found 1g of heroin, 6.7g of marijuana, over $3,000 cash and evidence which indicated CDS distribution activity was occurring in the hotel rooms. The suspects had also flushed an unknown quantity of drugs down the toilet before jumping out of the hotel room windows.

Police also recovered a loaded Beretta 9mm handgun which one of the suspects dropped while fleeing. The gun was stolen in a Calvert County burglary, police said.
