WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Playground equipment caught fire in Northwest, D.C. Tuesday evening, according to D.C. Fire and EMS.
The fire started at a playground located on 4300 13 Street NW. Officials say equipment in the rear of the playground was on fire.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. No injuries have been reported at this time.
The playground is located in the back of Sharp Health School.

Two other playground fires were reported in Fairfax County in less than two weeks.
The first fire happened on Oct. 2 at the Lees Corner Elementary School playground located in the 13500 block of Hollinger Avenue around 10:30 p.m.
The second fire happened Monday at Greenbriar West Elementary School playground located in the 13300 block of Poplar Tree Road around 5:30 p.m.
