WANTED: Teen allegedly kills 10-year-old, injures 13-year-old in stabbing

The teen accused in the deadly stabbing in Anne Arundel County is on the run.

GLEN BURNIE, MD. (AP) - Police are still searching for the 18-year-old suspect, Andres Garcia, for stabbing his 10-year-old sister to death and injuring his 13-year-old brother in Heritage Hill Community.

Anne Arundel County police said in a statement Tuesday that officers called to a home on Roots Drive on Monday evening for a report of a stabbing found the two children injured. Both children were taken to area hospitals. Police say the girl died and the boy is being treated for injuries that aren't life-threatening.

"I mean 10 years old and dying. How sad is that? How sad is that? I feel so bad for that mom and dad to have to go through that," said Haley Sanchez, a neighbor.

Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant charging Garcia with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree attempted murder assault and reckless endangerment.

Garcia is considered violent and dangerous. If you see him, you should contact police immediately.
