Officials investigate possible links in Frederick Co. sex assaults

WALKERSVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Officials have identified several similarities between a sexual assault that occurred along a jogging path in Frederick County two weeks ago and another case which occurred in the same area in November 2013.

Officials have developed a possible link between the sexual assault which happened at the Walkersville Community Park on April 6, 2014 and a sexual assault incident at the same area in November 2013. Police contacted the victim in the earlier incident who confirmed the suspect had a similar description as the attack on April 6.

He has a dark complexion with a very short, even-cut hair style and little to no facial hair. At the time of the assault, he was wearing light khaki cargo shorts, with a long-sleeved gray shirt with black block-style lettering on it.'
