MISSING: 54-year-old Gaithersburg man

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County Police are searching for a missing 54-year-old man on Thursday evening.

Martin John Rodgers of the 12900 block of Riffle Ford Court in Gaithersburg was last seen August 21st around 7:30 a.m. when he left for work, police said.

Rogers was driving to work in Poolesville in a blue 2001 Audi A4 with Maryland tags 1BF6739, police said.

Since reporting Rogers as missing, police have received multiple reports of sightings on the towpath of the C&O Canal.

The most recent sighting reported was around 8:20 a.m. on August 28th in the area of Edwards Ferry near Poolesville and Violettes Lock near Darrenstown, police said.

Rogers is described as a white male, about 5'10" tall, weighing 150 pounds with gray/white hair and blue eyes.
