Md. police: Up to $2,000 reward in Port Deposit murder

PORT DEPOSIT, Md. (WUSA9) -- The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a 47-year-old man, who was found dead in his Port Deposit home Monday.

Authorities found Vincent M. Robertson, of the unit-block of Green Lane dead inside his home at around 11 a.m. Troopers and paramedics said Robertson appeared to have suffered from at least one gunshot wound.

Investigators from the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit along with the Criminal Enforcement Division have been investigating the incident, police said. The Cecil County State's Attorney has been informed and will be updated throughout the investigation, police added.

Maryland State Police investigators and crime scene technicians from the Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division went to the scene to get any items that would some sort of evidential value.

Robertson's body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy, police said.

The investigation of the incident continues, police said and investigators will continue to interview witnesses.

Police are now offering up to $2,000 in reward money for any information leading to an arrest.

Police said nobody else was injured in the incident.
