Md. man arrested for drug and firearm offenses

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Officials have arrested and charged a man for drug and firearm offenses in Maryland.

Officials were on regular patrol on May 27 around 9:09 p.m. when they saw a car "rev its engine and spin its wheels while exiting a nearby parking lot onto Taney Avenue," police said.

Police located the car and conducted a traffic stop. Donald Lee Tucker was arrested after Police smelt the odor of burnt marijuana. Officials then recovered the marijuana. They also found an uncased semi-automatic handgun.

Tucker has been charged with "wear, carry, and transport a firearm, possession of Marijuana, possession of paraphernalia," police said.

He appeared before a District Court Commissioner and received a $20,000 bond, police said.
