WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A 35-year-old Maryland man is dead after a shooting in Southeast, D.C. late Thursday night, Metropolitan police said.
The shooting happened around 11:44 p.m. in the 600 block of Mellon Street in Southeast, D.C., according to authorities.
When crews got to the scene they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Darnell Peoples, 35, of District Heights was identified as the victim.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
