Woodsboro Pike: Woman trapped under SUV in water

KEYMAR, Md. (WUSA9) -- Maryland State Police responded to a single vehicle collision on Maryland Route 194 on Saturday, that left a woman trapped under her SUV in water.

Police responded to a crash that happened on Route 194 around 7:30 a.m. between Barker Road and Smith Lane.

Amanda Garber, 25, of Keymar, Maryland was driving her 1991 Ford Bronco when suddenly the vehicle left the right shoulder of the road and rolled over an embankment, police said.

The SUV stopped in a small stream, police added.

Garber was stuck under the SUV in the water. Police removed her from underneath the SUV and took her to the Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore with serious injuries, authorities said.

Due to the incident, Maryland Route 194, also known as Woodsboro Pike was closed for two hours while the investigation was done.
