Wednesday Pothole Alert: Capitol Heights

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA9) -- We've got a humdinger of a Pothole Alert this morning. It comes courtesy of LaJuan Howard in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

However we're not sure if we're talking about a pothole or a sink hole quite honestly. It sits on Pacific Avenue near the intersection of Ridley Street. This road has 7 sunken areas but this hole is the worst one says Ms. Howard. "It's pretty deep and what baffles me is that it's been filled twice and cracked again," says Howard.

Our WUSA9 Pothole Patrol cameraman, James Searls, says this crater measures 4 feet long, 3 feet wide and in some places a food deep.

"If they make time to patch any potholes or sunken spots on this street will be an improvement and greatly appreciated," Howard tells WUSA9. "Much love and respect to WUSA9 for helping with our 'rocky roads' because they are truly taking a toll on our car alignments and tires."

WUSA9 has reported this mess to the Prince George's County Department of Public Works. Hopefully it will be fixed permanently.
