Symphony pays tribute to local veterans with gala

BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) – The Capital Wind Symphony will perform at the first annual Winds for Warriors Charity Gala benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project on April 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Strathmore Music Center in North Bethesda.

The Capital Wind Symphony also aims to raise donations to send local veterans to the gala to honor their service as American servicemen and women.

The symphony's founder, George Etheridge, will be conducting the ensemble.

United States Naval Academy graduate and service-disabled retired U.S. Naval Commander Edward Abner will also emcee throughout the night.

Tickets for the event at the Strathmore Music Center ( 5301 Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda, Maryland) range from $75 to $125. To purchase tickets, please visit or contact the Strathmore Music Center ticket office at 301-581-5100.
