Suspect tried to rob Md. spa with stun gun

SEVERNA PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police in Anne Arundel County are searching for a suspect who attempted to rob a spa with a stun gun.

On March 13, at approximately 9 p.m., officers responded to the Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa at 550 Unit I Ritchie Highway for a reported armed robbery, police say.

Employees of the business told police that a male wearing a ski mask entered the business armed with a stun gun. Police say the suspect activated the device to make it spark and demanded that the employees hand over money.

The employees refused and ran into a back room of the business, police say. The suspect fled from the business and no one was hurt during the incident.

Police continue to search for the suspect, who is described as a white male in his mid 30s, standing approximately 6 feet tale, weighing 200 pounds.
