Soda bottle bombs under investigation in Md.

PORT REPUBLIC, Md. (WUSA9) -- Authorities with the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office are investigating after two soda bottle bombs were discovered in the yard of a home in Port Republic this weekend.

According to authorities, the bottle bombs were detonated in the late evening hours on Saturday. They were discovered Sunday at approximately noon at 3850 Shamrock Court.

No one was injured in the detonation, say authorities.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to call the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Southern Regional Office at 443-550-6820.
