ANNE ARUNDEL CO., MD (WUSA9) - A small plane crashed on an interstate exit ramp in Anne Arundel County late Friday afternoon, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. near I-97 southbound lanes near Rt. 50 eastbound lanes.
Police said the pilot took off from Tipton Airfield in Ft. Meade, Md. and was trying to return. The pilot told police his engine lost power and he had to make an emergency landing.
He landed on the Route 50 exit ramp to MD Route 665, just outside Annapolis, and hit the guardrail. No vehicles were hit.
Police said no one was hurt.
