Sinkhole nearly swallows truck in Bethesda

BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) -- A large sinkhole has swallowed a truck in Bethesda, according to police.

The sinkhole is located in the 4300 block of Sleaford Road in Bethesda, according to police. The 8-inch water main break that caused the hole occurred sometime after 3 p.m., according to WSSC.

Only 13 customers are without service as a result of the break, WSSC said.
