BALTIMORE, MD. (WUSA9) - The FBI is now offering a $215k reward for any information that leads to the arrest of whoever killed a Baltimore Police detective last week.
Detective Sean Suiter was fatally shot in the head Wednesday while working a case in West Baltimore.
The 43-year-old was an 18-year veteran of the police force and the father of five children.
The large reward has been criticized by people who said civilian homicides in the city don't receive as much attention.
Meantime, Baltimore's police commissioner said he considers the shooting of an officer to be an assault on American democracy.
